The Department for Education’s (DfE) Connect the Classroom Scheme has returned until 2025, helping to keep schools across the UK in Educational Investment Areas connected with a seamless and future proof wireless networking solution.

Who is eligible?

Priority Education Investment Areas (EIAs)

All of the schools in the following areas are automatically eligible for the scheme:

Blackpool, Bradford, Derby, Doncaster, Fenlands and East Cambridgeshire, Halton, Hartlepool, Hastings, Ipswich, Knowsley, Liverpool, Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire Coast, Norwich, Nottingham, Oldham, Portsmouth, Rochdale, Salford, Sandwell, Stoke-on-Trent, Tameside, Walsall, West Somerset.

Education Investment Areas

Schools in the following area are eligible if they’ve recently received an Ofsed rating of ‘Requires Improvement’ or ‘Inadequate’

We’ll work with you to scope out your exact requirements in line with DfE specifications in the form of an assessment and network asset form, which you can share with your nominated adviser from the DfE.

3 - Approval

Once the DfE have approved the scope of the project, we can put together a detailed proposed and statement of work, which includes project deliverables and installation.

4 - Deployment & Claiming

Xeretec will provide detailed project support from end-to-end and work alongside you during the delivery phase to ensure that everything is completed on-time and according to the Statement of Work. We can also help with any queries relating to claiming funds direct from the DfE.
