Corrib Oil is an oil, diesel and petrol provider that was founded in 1987. Since then, Corrib Oil has experienced significant growth and now host over 60 sites across Ireland employing over 1,100 people. The IT team is lean, currently consisting of two members who serve the needs of all employees, including over 300 email users.

Corrib Oil has purchased managed print services via Xeretec since 2011. The trust was built up over this project and the relationship then expanded to M365 licencing and configuration support. The conversation about protecting the newly adopted M365 environment shortly followed as Corrib Oil had very little in regard to email security and were backing up their data to a physical, on-premise server rather than the cloud.

The relationship with Xeretec

As a small internal IT team, Corrib Oil value the relationship that has been created with Xeretec as a trusted IT supplier. Xeretec support Corrib Oil on live projects but also keep Michael and his team updated with changes in the market and new products that could help them. Upgrading to Premium Plus

Upon Corrib Oil’s contract renewal, Xeretec provided consultancy on the additional Barracuda capabilities available to deliver additional value and protection to the business. Following this process, Corrib Oil renewed and upgraded the Barracuda solution to the Premium Plus package. The Premium Plus package provides continuity of their existing capabilities and additional protection such as, Zero Trust access to M365 and the visibility of sensitive data and malware being stored in M365 that could be breaking GDPR regulations.
